BRIEF BIOGRAPHIES OF SOME OF OUR CONSULTANTS

Jane Galloway

Jane Galloway has been working in the charity and the 'not for profit' sector since 1994. Her first appointment was as Appeal Director for Macmillan Cancer Relief for a £1.2 million appeal for a new cancer care centre in Glamorgan.

Further fundraising, marketing and communications experience was gained from working as an Appeal Director at a London University Teaching Hospital and, most recently, as director of communications and fundraising, for a national disability organisation.
Jane's skills in the sector were broadened when she was appointed to act first as a marketing director and then Chief Executive for a national conservation charity. Subsequent to this, Jane has spent a period working as an associate consultant for a large firm of specialist charity consultants. These two experiences have given Jane exposure to most of the issues that charities face and also an insight into the appropriate solutions.

The breadth of Jane's experience in the charity sector makes her ideally qualified to assist other charities in their development and in handling their issues and, as a consequence, Jane set up as an independent consultant with Arclight Solutions Limited.

Jane has always had an active interest in leadership issues and team building. After attending an Initial Windsor Leadership Trust meeting in early 2003, she gained a more through understanding of what it is that makes a good leader and has since become an advocate of emotional and intelligent leadership.

In her spare time, Jane is a mother of three and an active artist (another outlet for her creative talents).
